While Books in the Woods has been taking its usual winter break, our founder, Rebecca has been busy with her Level 3 Forest School Leader training.
With a background in English & Drama teaching and a love of the outdoors, Rebecca launched Books in the Woods in 2017, determined to bring a community of local parents together and to share the love of fresh woodland air, free play and a great story.
Rebecca continues to lead a growing group of local parents who all volunteer their time, energy and ideas to organise, lead and manage this very successful community group. The main playgroup remains at its original site at Ashridge, but has recently run sessions at Rectory Lane Cemetery, Berkhamsted and Tring's Apple Fayre and Spring Fayre .
Five years on and Rebecca is looking to open her own local Forest School, offering family Forest School sessions at the weekend and Parent & Toddler groups during the week.
